Sometimes, we can go back...{10/52}

We don't always get the opportunity for second chances or re-do's in life. But when we do, we gotta make the most of it and cherish the opportunity to give it our all this time around.

This doesn't actually fit in that same category, it is about going back. Yesterday, with the encouragement and support of a very good friend of mine, I went to the house that my grandparents lived in since well-before I was born until they passed away. It's been 25 years since I've been here and it was such a deeply emotional experience. Although there were definitely changes in the neighborhood, so much was still so very familiar. The family that purchased their house still lives here and they remembered my grandparents' names. The daughter, Hope, invited us inside to take a look around as well as inviting us to go into the backyard. Their home was full of love, just as it was when my grandparents lived there. It was so very special and has brought back a flood of treasured memories.

I posted 1 in the comments taken on these same steps. I probably could have dug up an old slide that showed the porch and house more, but I had this on my computer already.

If you're lucky enough to get a second chance, thank the Universe, cherish the opportunity and give it 100% this time around!
