Leftover Halloween candy and Princess....
This morning while I was cleaning up around here, I was putting the Halloween candy back in the gallon ziplock back for the gazillionth time and noticed that there was an abundance of Reese's. I thought that they'd be great in cookies, so I collected them all and put them in the freezer. So tonight, we made a batch of Original Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies and used chopped up Reese's cups instead of the chocolate chips.
I froze the Reese's so that they'd be easy to chop up...

So, here's the Original Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe. I'm sure that you have some Halloween chocolate left. It doesn't even have to be all the same kind! Chocolate of any kind goes together, right??!!
Original Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups (12 oz pkg) NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
1 cup nuts, chopped
Directions:
PREHEAT oven to 375° F.
COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
Here's an update on Princess. She did really well with her surgery yesterday. We all went to pick her up this afternoon. She's glad to be home, but quiet and resting. Here she is when we came home....
She found her way to Sugar's bed and is resting.....she's so sweet!

The cookies sound yummy. It reminds me of a high school friend who's mom made sugar cookies with a whole, tiny Snickers bar in the middle. So good.
