It's Monday.........
....and I've been neglecting my blog. So sorry! School's going well, but keeping me very busy on top of working and taking care of the family and home. Today's Monday and I thought that I'd start my week off with a new coffee. I'm trying to back off my latté consumption (as if that will ever happen!). Anyway, I do love my French press! If you don't have one, you really should consider getting one. Delicious!! Oh, the new coffee is Papa Nicholas - Hawaiian Islands Blend. Too bad they don't have smell-o-blog..........

Have a great week!! ~ Cyn <3>

Mmmmmm, coffee....and my, what a pretty mug you have there... ;)
Sarah :)
I love coffee. I couldn't ever give it up. I may have to ask for a French press for my birthay (in exactly 7 months! lol). Are they hard to use?

Yes, Sarah! It's pretty and earthy and warm......and it reminds me of the thoughtful person who gave it to me! ;) I didn't realize that I didn't mention it in my blog, but if you click on the bottom picture, you'll see that I did have a comment there about the my beautiful, handcrafted mug! ;)
Thanks again!! It's the perfect coffee mug! And look how the colors perfectly match the contents of the mug!
((((hugs)))))

Francesca.....if you love coffee, you must have a French press. Furthermore, every French teacher should have a French press, imo!! ;) Starbucks actually has a really nice one for ~$35.00. I really wanted to get it, but I can't rationalize 1) spending the money on something that I don't need because I have one already; and 2) having two identical items and having to store the second one. I'll just have to wait until my old Bodum takes a dive.
They are sooooo easy to use. They work best if you have the coffee ground for French press, which is a courser grind than for drip. But I've also used coffee ground for drip. So, here's all you have to do: measure the coffee grounds out into the pot. In the meantime, boil water. When the water has boiled, slowly pour over the grounds to wet them and then fill the pot up. Put the top on (with the plunger all the way at the top, of course). Set your timer for 2-3 minutes (you just work out what you prefer), then push the plunger down. That's my kids' favorite part - the plunging! It's so easy, in fact, that I bring it (and a teapot for boiling water) along when I go camping. I bring it because it's so simple and works out well camping because I don't need any electric. But it's funny because when I use it while I'm camping, I feel like such a primadonna with my French press coffee maker! lol!
It's a great gift for anyone who is truly a coffee lover!
