FDT: evening light edition

4/365. I had another idea for a facedown today, but the policemen wouldn't oblige. So I ended up here, at this old Instrument Works building.
My usual facedown style tends to be to shoot straight on, so I was heading directly across from the building with my equipment when I noticed the sun's reflection in the windows. I knew it wouldn't last so I hurried and setup right where I stood, ran across the street and took my shot. I thought for a quick minute about cropping this tighter in pp, but I just couldn't get rid of the top of the building with the sun hitting it like that. I've already noticed the days getting a little bit longer every day and that makes me smile.
Just like Stacie, Face Down Tuesdays are one of my favorite things. Probably one of the things that I have considered while deciding on another 365. Sure, you can do a FDT without doing a 365. I just think it makes me seem a teensy bit less kooky for doing them when I have to explain it to someone. Kind of like "they made me do it" kind of a thing! As if!! I love doing them!!
My other favorite thing in this shot is my scarf. Last week I had seen it on my co-worker, Shannon's desk. The following day, i asked if I could borrow it when I went out to take this shot. Not only did she say that I could borrow it, she said I could have it! She knitted it with her own two hands and it's absolutely beautiful! It's wide and it's warm and I just love it!! One of my newest favorite things! Thanks, Shannon!!
