What a great vacation!

Well, it's been a week and a half since coming home from one of the best vacations I've ever had. I took my eleven-year-old, Claire, and her two cousins, Jynine (11) and Jordyn (9) camping in north-central Wisconsin. We were gone 8 night and 7 days. We arrived late on Thursday night and managed to set up our tent in almost pitch-blackness with the aid of a single flashlight. Hey, we don't call this trip "Girls Rock" for nothing! The girls swam at the beach for hours on end while I sat in the shade in a comfortable chair with my feet up, reading a book. We also visited the local library. It's a wonderful library and the girls hung our on the kids' floor reading books and magazines and making jewelry with supplies we brought with us. So, while they were keeping busy I got to go on the computer and check emails, etc. and read my book. It was the most relaxing vacation I've ever taken. We also went to a couple different theaters and saw three different movies (The Devil Wears Prada, Ant Bully and You, Me and Dupree). I also took the girls bowling and out for pizza and Mexican food. Our days were so full that we only had campfires on three of the nights. It also rained very hard while we were there (bad thunderstorms) so a lot of things were wet, making it difficult to start a fire and not very comfortable for sitting around a fire. Last year when we were up there, we found a great coffee shop in town where I could get my daily latte. I even managed to find a Starbucks the day we went bowling!

Well, I saved the above as a draft meaning to get back to it and finish it which I never did. So, I'm just going to add a few pictures and post. Otherwise I'll never go on and it'll be another year before I post again! Enjoy the pics!

Here's where we slept, got rained on and stormed on and leaked on, where we read, played cards and made jewelry!

You know, I couldn't go an entire week without a latte..........
