My word.....
.....I finally have my word - BLESSED. After thinking on it for the past couple of weeks, and with some prompting by Christina, I've decided that my word for 2007 will be "blessed." She was right, I did start this year feeling very blessed and that is a feeling and attitude that I wish to continue throughout the rest of 2007. The following definitions are from Merriam-Webster (I've edited out the portions that don't apply). I've also included definitions for root and related words, all which have related and applicable meanings:
blessed
1: beatific
2: of or enjoying happiness; specifically: enjoying the bliss of heaven
3: bringing pleasure, contentment, or good fortune
beatific
Etymology: Latin beatificus making happy, from beatus happy, from past participle of beare to bless; perhaps akin to Latin bonus good -- more at BOUNTY
1 : of, possessing, or imparting beatitude
beatitude
1: a state of utmost bliss
bounty
Etymology: Middle English bounte goodness, from Anglo-French bunté, bountee, from Latin bonitat-, bonitas, from bonus good, from Old Latin duenos; akin to Sanskrit duva reverence, favor
1 : something that is given generously
2 : liberality in giving : GENEROSITY
3 : yield
These are all things that I plan to keep in mind during the coming year (and hopefully beyond) when I remind myself of my "word," because I truly believe that I am blessed. And if I can remember that on the bad days, I'm sure that they won't feel so bad anymore.

Great word, Cyn!!! Remember ten years or so ago (it might be more) when Oprah told us to keep a "Gratitude Journal"? I've kept one off and on for years, and it is a great way to count my blessings. And it's fun to look back years later and see what I was greatful for - almost always I can still see those blessings in my life today. I highly recommend it!
Hugs,
