A couple of things accomplished...

I promised an update, so here it is. Yesterday evening, after soccer games and after the kids left for Brad's, I finally got motivated to do a few things. I ended up putting my footboard on my bed. That involved installing a couple of extenders/brackets to the current bedframe. I got the box with the brackets (had to order them online) and get ready to put them on - get out the wrenches and ratchets that fit the nuts and bolts. Then, wouldn't you know - the holes don't match up! WTF??!! So - seeing that I am woman, hear me roar - I marked the extensions for where the holes should be and took them into the garage and drilled new holes. I actually drilled through metal! Thick metal, exactly the kind that the bedframe is made of! Yikes! But I did it! I got both sides bolted on and then attached the footboard! Yay! Now I won't have to worry about it falling over and hitting someone or one of the pets. After that, I was on a roll so I decided to put together the other nightstand that I bought from Target. It's not difficult at all, just very time consuming. I think it took me almost two hours to put it all together, but I finished it and it looks great on the other side of my bed. Now I can get rid of the cardboard box that I was using to hold the table lamp and alarm clock! Here's a picture of the nightstands that I bought....

They really look nice on either side of my white wrought iron bed. I think I'll go to Menards tomorrow and get paint. Then I can put on my new bedding! I'll post pictures when I'm done! I better go and do some organizing in there!
